How Computer Viruses Spread

The best antivirus is ‘common knowledge’, having said that, this means not clicking on suspicious links when you receive emails with headlines that say you won something. This also includes downloading software from pirated sites.

Back in the good old days, people kidnap victims and demand ransom, some people rob banks. In today’s modern world, hackers kidnap your computer via ransomware, by locking up your computer with the data, until you pay the amount they demand, they will not release the key to unlock your files. Virus and Trojans no longer destroy your computer, they simply hijack it, sitting quietly and harvest your data, credit card and bank login password.

I read that AVG was selling people’s browser history. I don’t know if this is true, just passing it along.

ESET Smart Security / Endpoint Security is Best af all times. Simple of answer. I work with IT for 28 years. During this times I see of all. In 1996, i had McAfee updated and i had much problems with w95CIH Virus. My BIOS is cleaned and my partition is deleted too. After 4 Years, i recover my original BIOS and my motherboard with other BIOS. In this epoch the Norton is a best antivirus, but the machine worked slightly slow. In 2002, i install AVG and speed machine is increased. I think to have a good business, but not. In 2003 i have a big problem with a virus and lost my all EXE files. The AVG is updated too, but not secured the virus. Then, i change to ESET NOD32, My problems is resolved. After all times, i received many computers in my laboratory with many viruses and AVG/Avast Free/AVIRA updated and VIRUSES, much VIRUSES. Since 2004 i not had problems using Eset. Karspersky is good too, but the machine is extremely slow. Thats all folks! Sorry my bad english!
